In the fall of 2010, Ed decided he wanted to buy sheep for our daughter & her family for a Christmas present, finally fulfilling a promise he had made to her years earlier. He specifically wanted Jacobs because he had taken care of a flock of Jacobs in his veterinary practice. Pam was impressed that they were spotted since she grew up raising registered Holsteins. A quick internet search led her to Charles & Kay Kreutzer & 24 hours later, Ed & Pam had purchased their first 4 Jacob sheep. It was hard to keep the new sheep a secret, so Christmas was celebrated at Thanksgiving and the surprise was a huge success. Our main goal is to breed for sound confirmation & the lilac color, as well as produce a quality fleece for the hand spinning market. We cull extensively and only offer breeding stock for sale that we would want to keep here in our own flock. Thru the years we have added several quality lilacs and a lilac carrier to our flock to develop the lilac genetic base. We are centrally located here in the Midwest and available for farm visits. Come see our flock and fall in love with the Jacob breed. |
